Creating beautiful fashion inspired by the traditional clothing of Bhutan, each piece is hand-woven by artisans in Bhutan and the U.S., with happiness vibes from this Himalayan country included (they are the only country who gauges the Gross National Happiness of its people)!
The Sunray “Hug,” as their garments are called, features a sunray pattern seen in many traditional Bhutanese textiles, which represents the beam of enlightenment. It also stands for equal enjoyment of freedom, spiritual and material happiness, and prosperity by all beings. We could all use some of that!
This gorgeous garment is crafted with the hues of five colors (green, blue, red, white, and yellow) corresponding to the five elements (wood, water, fire, iron, and earth). The main color, a hue of red, is identified with heroic virtues and is worn by sword-bearing officers. White denotes purity, goodness, and nobility.
The Sunray Hug comes in One Size. Length is 22″.
This garment is woven by a U.S. master weaver! There are matching hug knit dog sweaters, too, woven by artisans on the mountainsides of Bhutan. Are you and your pup enlightened warriors? Or, maybe the Diamond or the Karma motif speak to you. Discover them in the boutique!
